Actually, the absurdity of this film is quite intentional-the writers, director, and actors all embrace it wholeheartedly. So, too, will many viewers: the smart pacing, nimble performances, and wry sense of purpose ease the audience into the right mindset. The unabashedly titillating images and stomach-churning humor somehow seem less offensive when viewed in the film's self-knowing package...

Exhibit number three: The Harvard Lampoon. Harvard's comedy mafia currently write for The Simpsons and Conan C. O'Brien '85; as undergraduates, they wrote for the Lampoon; ergo, the semi-secret Sorrento Square social organization that occasionally publishes a so-called humor magazine is funny. ...flicks, with his back to back summer money makers Men in Black and Independence Day (we'll forgive him for the latter). Advance looks at the production indicate that the special effects are incredible, and the interaction between Smith and Kline (both known for their own brands of humor), as well as the performances of Branagh and Salma Hayek, should all make for some amusing entertainment...
