JC wanders around the stage perpetually stoned--his first words in the play come when he lumbers into the room for the first time and sees Stan and Jim and their unpacked mess: "Oh wow, man." A contrast to the freshman goofies...

Accompanied by five silver T-38 chase planes that drifted around the pair like pilot fish escorting a shark, the odd couple climbed slowly to 8,100 meters (27,000 ft.). At that altitude the 747 flew over an imaginary hump, then nosed downward to pick up speed. At 7,230 meters (24,000 ft.), Haise fired the three explosive bolts holding the two ships together. ...film. Even when he and it move further afield, following the disgraced Beau into his North Af rican exile as a legionnaire, there's some amusing game afoot. Peter Ustinov, as a sadistic sergeant, is equipped with a movable scar - not unlike Feldman's shifty hump in Frankenstein - and the director has given Ustinov and his horse matching peg legs. But the whole pro ject soon begins to deflate under the hot sun. Maybe the canvas - all those broad desert expanses and empty skies - is just too big to fill up with gags, or maybe the nostalgic pull...

However degrading, these images apparently sell merchandise. Cheeks sales for the final quarter were up 500% over the previous year, and the Camel's Hump display increased sales by 25%.
