INTERMINGLED WITH HIS whimsical mutterings on existence is a discussion of his intellectual roots. Finally Sartre has his chance to credit his mentors. He attributes his weaning to Husserl: "Husserl ... gripped me. I saw everything through the perspectives of his philosophy."
