...important discovery was also made by Mr. C. D. Buck, who had charge of another expedition. In the excavations at Icaria, a theatre has been brought to light which is thought to prove that Icaria was the birthplace of the drama. According to the old Greek legends, this place was the seat of the drama, but no proof could be found to confirm this supposition.
