The third and fifth goals were made by Pell from passes by Rumsey, the latter scoring the intermediate one. Rumsey soon scored again. At this point Dartmouth made her first score when Foote received the puck from a face off sent it in. A goal by Newhall, and another by Rumsey ended the half. For the first ten minutes of the second half there was no scoring. The defense of Willetts and Ford was very strong...
Although the Freshmen have won four of the six scheduled games played, their lack of well-organized attack makes the development of the team somewhat disappointing. Lack of ice for practice party accounts for the deficiency. The Freshmen have defeated Andover, Pomfret, Anlington High, and Milton Academy, but have lost to St. Mark's and St. Paul's. With the exception of the Andover and Arlington High games, the absence of team work has been conspicuous. The Yale team also lacks consistent team-work, but has had a fairly successful season...
...game yesterday afternoon between the University hockey team and Andover was won by the University team by the score of 6 to 0. The ice was hard and fast and the game spirited and interesting. The University team was, however, slow, and the forwards seemed unable to get together, and were often stopped in their rushes down the ice by not being in line or by clumsy dribbling...
Penalties were inflicted on both teams for forward passing and off-side playing; but the Harvard forwards soon got down the ice together, and Pell shot the first goal on a good pass from Rumsey. The playing then became rougher, and the McGill forwards resorted to erratic tactics, unavailing because of consistent covering of their men by the Harvard team. Rumsey' was then put off the ice for roughness. Hicks at last got the puck, and all four of the Harvard forwards rushed it down the ice together, Pell scoring an easy goal...
