...indie music. Laugh all you want, but I listen to the Little Shop of Horrors soundtrack and Barenaked Ladies. Yet the idea of Australian college indie music intrigues me. I expected Flugelhorn Music's new compilation New Noize #1 to stimulate me culturally, not aesthetically. The opposite happened. Although some of the animals are more interesting to look at than others, the entire project is a very clever idea and is quite well executed. It is lively and avoids monotony through the use of different animals and the changes in water depth as one moves along. It is a fine project of public art, beautifying the built environment and representing the community that commissioned it through accessible images and themes...
