It describes the adventures of a young American author, the Celebrity, who disguised under an incognito, visits a summer resort by the great lakes, in quest of a very charming young woman whom he wishes to marry. Meanwhile the man whose name he has assumed, takes the opportunity to decamp with various embezzled monies.
