Sirs: While reading your very interesting article on Miller McClintock and his efforts to reduce traffic accidents (TIME, Aug. 3), I was very much surprised to learn that the State of Indi ana required 20 hours of driving instruction in high schools as a prerequisite for application for an operator's permit.
