Jaya Prakash Narayan, 76, Indian independence fighter who for 50 years wielded great political and moral influence in his country, though he never held public office; of heart disease; in Patna, India. ...think there are a few things which the white people place quite a premium on. The first thing is the strong belief in a mother tongue education. Therefore they strongly believe it's in the interests of the child, be they white, black, coloured, or indian, that the children be educated through their mother tongue.
