Among last year's veterans are Holmes and Patton, pitchers, and Captain Finn for the catching position with R. W. Smith as a substitute. Hoyt and Ward are also available for the infield. There is some promising material among the freshmen, and further additions to the squad are expected at the close of the basketball season on March...

Practice games are being held daily in the cage, and the first string infield seems to be fairly well settled. Kernan at first base, Murphy at second, Aldrich at shortstop, and Hickey at third base make a smooth working combination. Warren and Hawks are playing good ball, however, and stand a good chance of replacing some of the other men. The outfield has two veterans for a nucleus, Crane and Parsons, and there are several others out, of who Sloane, Eddy and Hoover seem to be putting up the best fight for third place...

Emmons Occ., in his third year of first team ball and second year as captain of the nine, will be at second again. At third, another regular of last year's "midget" infield will have the call, E. C. Lincoln '22. His all-round ability in the field and at bat made him one of the most valuable on the 1920 nine. The third regular infielder available is A. J. Conlon '22, one of the best of last year's college shortstops. Emmons, Lincoln...
