The Crimson track team began bearing out pre-season predictions of power when it easily defeated a strong Boston University squad 69 5/6 to 39 1/6 Saturday in Briggs Cage, The freshmen, led by Bob Rittenburg, Herb Collins, and Dave-Ingle also won easily, 89 to 18.
The freshmen, weakened by injuries, will be the underdogs in their meet. The Princeton freshmen have won two and lost one, while the Yale pups are undefeated in two meets. Yardling Captain Dave Ingle and Yale's Bob Stevens appear to be the outstanding runners in this race.
Bill Chrisman was the first Yardling finisher, while Marshall Childs followed close behind in the fifth spot. Frank Nahigian, 'Al Blaylock, and Dave Ingle were the other Harvard scorers. Ingle, one of the more promising runners seen here in several years, lost his way over the unfamiliar Brown course.
