Sunk. On a reef off Cape Fear, N. C.: the famed Ingomar, once one of the world's finest steel schooners, built by Herreshoff in 1903 for Morton Plant whose skipper Charley Barr, with his customary long cigar in his mouth, was rammed by the Kaiser's Meteor when the Kaiser, at the helm, tried to substitute Royal prerogative for racing etiquet and kept across Ingomar's bow although he did not have right of way.
