...American Steel Foundries. Just before the Institute began its deliberations, S.W.O.C. took a more drastic step. It was not yet ready to call strikes against big Bethlehem and National Steel, but it issued a strike call in the plants of three other big independents: Republic, Youngstown Sheet & Tube, and Inland.
