Like many another surrealist, Andre Masson suffers from insomnia. There was a time when he spent the long, painful hours of darkness dreaming up new paintings, but not any more. Munthe's gossipy autobiography earned $500,000, which he gave to charity for the establishment of wildlife refuges and a bird sanctuary on his beloved Capri...
