...scale, never fully found its legs in this exhibition. When the orderly method of presentation is abandoned, as when two photographs are displayed on top of each other or without frames, it seems either too self-conscious or slightly cramped. The photographs themselves, laid-back and often cropped with irregular white borders, seem to be trying to get out of the constricting frames, even curling within some of them, which provided an unneeded distraction...

...Atlantis is back in the news, as it ever will be, from time to time. Atlantis is bound to pop up again on irregular occasions in one place or the other. Cuba, this time. I had figured that all the current news out of Cuba would be sussed from Fidel via Barbara Walters, or would have come from the Bay of Pigs conference with all of those Best and brightest attendees. But no. Atlantis, again, grabbing the spotlight and our collective imagination...

Indeed, patients on Zoloft experienced 20% fewer adverse cardiovascular events than those who took the placebo. One other advantage: unlike older antidepressants called tricyclics, Zoloft does not seem to cause irregular heartbeats. But the study, paid for by pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, maker of Zoloft, included only 369 patients and so was too small to say for sure whether that apparent benefit was the result of a statistical fluke...
