...HAVEN, Conn., Feb. 4. - Professor Jacobi, instructor in fencing at Yale, has resigned and will leave the university at once. The Department of Fencing was instituted just a year ago and he was invited to take charge by Professor Anderson, director of the new gymnasium. Fencing has not proved popular at Yale and lack of interest is the cause of the abandonment of classes in that branch of athletics.
