...Some blame a lack of privacy for their infrequent jam sessions. Getting to know your body is a bit harder to do when your roommate is tossing and turning in a bunk only a few inches from your head. Also, constantly strenuous workload (here at Harvard?...Never) is the easiest way to completely kill any sensual desires you might be having. The immediate need to rest overrides all other feelings, leaving a woman feeling tired and behind in her work and in no mood to figure out the best way to masturbate...
...Bizkit and even the mighty Backstreet Boys during its amazing run up the charts. Since its June debut, Supernatural has sold a cash register-popping 3 million copies while drawing an uncommonly diverse coalition of fans: grizzled 1960s hippies; university kids who prefer Dave Matthews but know a good jam when they hear one; Latin rockers lured by fiery guitar and tropical-tinged rhythms; and, as Santana himself describes them, "kids who aren't as old as my Metallica T shirt." Supernatural's fortunes are still rising; this week it lands at No. 2 on the Billboard album charts...
Scott Stapp, front man for the Florida band Creed, sounds like Eddie Vedder, front man for the Seattle band Pearl Jam, reincarnated. Which would be fine except that Vedder isn't dead, so Stapp's vocal style comes across as a sort of ripoff. Still, Creed has its fans: the band's first album, My Own Prison, sold nearly 4 million copies. Its new CD, like Prison, features pile-driving hard rock and lyrics about spiritual longing. There's nothing worse than the crush of students in line at kiosks between classes in the Science Center or at Boylston, where the line snakes so hellishly far out of the hallway that it blocks the stairs. It's impossible to prevent this kind of traffic jam, but common courtesy would help alleviate it. By standards much less severe than those of Mayor Guiliani, the typical e-mail check at a kiosk should be brief, a cursory glance at an inbox's contents for emergency messages and crucial information or a quickly sent e-mail, nothing more...
...International Tribunal in the Hague, on charges of ethnic cleansing against Muslims in the town of Mostar in 1993. But the Croats have been dragging their feet, claiming that Naletilic is too ill to stand trial and charging him with lesser offenses in a Croatian court in order to jam up the legal process. "Sakic symbolizes a past era, but ?Tuta? is very much alive and would probably have some very interesting things to tell the Hague Tribunal about Tudjman and some of Croatia?s generals," says Anastasijevic. Until Croatia faces up to its recent past, the Sakic verdict will...
