Maitland Barkelew Bleecker, 27, is a direct descendant of Jan Jansen Bleecker who reached New Amsterdam (Manhattan) in 1658, and whose grandchildren established the Bleecker Farm on the property now traversed by Manhattan's Bleecker Street.
