Down on the Jap garrison at Sangagai swooped two Marine detachments. One party, moving along the beach, struck the Japs just at mealtime (2 p.m.-the Japs did not observe daylight saving.) Said The Brute: "The Nips immediately scampered into the mountains and met head on with our [other] force coming down.
