But the sad truth is that anime will never be fully appreciated in countries where limited imaginations restrict animation to a children's medium. Some of the best storytelling in the world continues to go unrecognized. In Japan, manga (graphic novels) and anime have long been recognized as important facets of modern Japanese culture.
