After a noisy, 18-hour marathon trial that ended at 4:25 in the morning, Desyr was convicted of killing Jean-Jacques Dessalines Ambroise, a union activist, and his pregnant wife, and of torturing Jean-Jacques's brother Emmanuel, in 1965.
