The purpose of bringing outside intellectuals to speak at an institution like Harvard is to give students access to opinion they may not hear otherwise. Regardless of what we think of Jeffries' opinions, or how he states them, he should be allowed to speak here.
Unlike the controversial Confederate flag, Jeffries and what he represents, whether Black pride or racism, is not forced upon our community and those members who are offended by Jeffries do not need to attend the forum.
