Died. Henry D. Haynes, 51, better known as Homer, the guitar-strumming, tobacco-chewing half of Homer and Jethro; of a heart attack; in Lansing, Ill. "Our first records were received with mixed emotions, like watching your mother-in-law drive your new Cadillac over a cliff," quipped Henry Haynes and Kenneth ("Jethro") Burns, the two Tennessee hillbillies who became a permanent team in 1936.
