...onward. A book printed by Gutenberg in 1460, and one by Faust in 1462, are both older than any book the Library has hitherto contained. Another book has the date 1489, and there is a very rare edition of Plautus, 1578. The collection contains autographs of Samuel Johnson, John Milton, Racine, Drummond, T. N. Taifourd, and S. T. Coleridge. "Comus, 1645," and "Paradise Lost, 1668," are probably copies of the first edition. The manuscripts in Mr. Sumner's library are said to be very valuable, but they are not yet unpacked...
