After Mayor Bancroft's invitation for Harvard to join in the procession on the 3rd of June it seems to me that it would only be gentlemanly for us to accept. We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by marching. The Faculty have purposely begun the examinations one day earlier than usual and have allowed us the third of June for a holiday. He gave as some of his reasons the fact that examinations were omitted on June merely in order that the students might join the parade, and also the fact all members of the University owed it to themselves and to the graduates to show sufficient enthusiasm to aid the Harvard men who are at the head of the affair.
