German Defense Minister Franz-Josef Jung told the conference that the priority in Afghanistan should be civic support. "We will not win by military means alone," he said. ...Vronskys, Oblonskys and other skis. Part of the book was about skiing. Are you accusing me of never reading this book? Why don’t you read it if you think you’re so smart. Fuck you. It’s also partly about her brother Josef K., the push-over attorney from Franz Kafka’s awesome novel, “The Trial.” Kafka’s original manuscript was loosely based on a German facsimile of a John Grisham novel called “Runaway Trial.” The lawyers...

Nice to see he has overcome the embarrassment and feels strong enough to get it all wrong about Europe's "swooning" response to, and expectations of, Obama. Obama's Western European supporters deserved a more empathetic article than Joffe's complacent little outcry. Josef Werker, KREFELD, GERMANY
