...fact that one man on the Yale team, Norton, got as many points as Harvard's total bodes ill for the Crimson in the dual meet. Norton won the broad jump with 23 feet 11 inches to his credit, placed second in the short dash, and third in the 220-yard sprint. He will be a dangerous man for Harvard in the meet on June 15. It looks as if the Elis could count on him for 15 points...
...situation is that the provocation is so small. The second section of an extra, misplaced purposely on the outside of what is perhaps only a Cambridge edition, contains a news box headed, "HARVARD MASHER MASHES TOE." Instantly every street corner between the Yard and the river is possessed by jumping dervishes, who not only jump, but bellow. Besides these men the Crimson will have Luttman, who should perform well at either the mile or two mile distance. Renoulf to high jump, and Brayton, another good prospect in the sprints. The hurdle men are Greenlet, captain of the Milton team last year, who will run the high hurdles, and Lomasney, another Milton graduate, for the low fences. Besides Pratt in the field will be Tucker to throw the hammer. May for the javelin, and Fordyce for the shot...
