Fearing was the only Harvard man in the running high jump, and as Green failed to put in appearance. He had little difficulty in clearing the bar at 6.00 7-8 and thus won the event from Dunning R. L. S., who had a handicap of eight inches. Fearing then had the bar put at 6.02 7-8, which was 5-8 higher than the indoor record. He had cleared this on his third trial when his arm unfortunately struck the stick and brought it to the floor. The attempt showed that the record would not remain long unbroken...
