Sophomore dinners, which, now that 1900 has followed the example of '99, seem likely to become of annual occurrence, experience has now shown can be useful in two ways. In the first place they can of course, as Junior dinners have accomplished hitherto, increase fellow feeling and that a year earlier than of yore. In the second place they can afford an opportunity of judging in what way a subsequent Junior dinner may be made an unqualified success.
