...Kane & Abel's second album, their first since going AWOL from Master P's No Limit boot camp, nearly bored me to fratricide. Sad too, because the duo would seem to have everything necessary to create a listenable album: a hook (they're identical twins with biblical names--their real names are David and Daniel), legitimacy (born in the Bronx and bred in New Orleans, one of the flashpoints of southern rap) and a cause (their parents were declared unfit when they were a few weeks old). Don't bother looking for any evidence of it on Rise To Power...
