This danger was averted in a skillful continuity by Carl Erickson and Harvey Thew and in an amazingly successful impersonation of Haw Tabor (called Yates Martin in the picture) by Edward G. Robinson. Robinson makes Yates Martin what Haw Tabor very likely was-a gay, growling, vain man, dazzled and delighted by a world which, for a time, seemed made of silver...
