While "I hate Lamont" unfortunately seems to be a widespread and hastily uttered sentiment, it makes me sick at heart every time I hear it. Even worse are scenes I have witnessed at the circulation desk of Lamont. A patron becomes abusive when the desk worker refuses to tell him or her which of the four other people in the patron's tutorial currently has the only copy of the reserve reading. Kaplan and junior Ken Johnson paced the Crimson with two individual victories apiece. Kaplan snagged the top spot in both the 50- and 100-yd, freestyle races, with sophomore Greg Tull right behind in each to give Harvard 1-2 finishes in both sprint freestyle races.
