These two winning clubs are the survivors of the contest which has continued through the fall between the seven winning clubs of the second year competition last winter. Previous to the semi-final round, six of the clubs competed in a preliminary round, the three winners together with the seventh, which drew a bye, entering the second period. This left the Lowell, George Gray, Witanagamot and Kent clubs to compete in the semi-final contest won by the Lowell and Witanagamot clubs. The Ames Prize is awarded in two prizes of $200 and $100 to the winner and runner-up respectively in the final round of the third-year competition...
