Adrian Boult, 93, restrained, unhistrionic conductor who organized and led the BBC Symphony Orchestra, one of England's finest, from 1930 to 1950, then served as principal conductor of the London Philharmonic until 1957; in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.
