Captain Hurley chose to kick off. Burr kicked off to Sheble. He fumbled the kick. Kersburg got the ball on a fumble. A try on the line failed to make first down on the rushes and the ball went to Pennsylvania. On the 4 1-2 yard line Sheble punted to Starr, who caught the ball on the 40-yard line and made five yards before he fell.
