...During the first half Cornell was completely outplayed, the University team scoring six times. The first goal was made by Seamans on a pass from Leland. From a corner kick by Leland, Ho scored the second goal. Chadwick made the next, and immediately after the kick-off Seamans scored again. Leland then made the fifth point for Harvard on a penalty kick. Towards the end of the half Lindsey rushed the ball down the field and after a brief scrimmage in front of the goal made the sixth score. In the second half both Chadwick and Lindsey scored again...

...score, in favor of changing goals after each intermission, thus giving each side fifteen minutes of each period with the wind and fifteen minutes against the wind. Probably it would also be desirable that at the end of the two short intermissions play should not be resumed by a kick-off, but by a scrimmage, the possession of the ball, the down, and the distance to be gained to remain the same as before the intermission. Otherwise a series of plays tending directly forward a score but requiring considerable time to work out, might go for nothing...

Yale won the toss and Coy chose to defend the south goal, giving Yale the advantage of the wind. At 2.04 o'clock Mckay made a short kick-off to Lilley on Yale's 35- yard line. Minot tackled Lilley so hard that the latter was obliged to leave the field, Paul taking his place at right tackle. Because Trainer Donovan came on the field, Harvard was penalized 15 yards before play was resumed. Philbin made four yards around right end, then Coy punted to O'Flaherty who fumbled and Hobbs recovered the ball for Yale on Harvard...
