Carlisle rushed the ball nine yards, which was followed by an exchange of punts, Peirce downing the ball for Harvard on the Indian's 37-yard line after Libby's fumble. During the remainder of the game the ball was punted back and forth between the 20-yard lines, Harvard having a slight advantage in the kicking.
