Open practice yesterday consisted of an eighteen minute line-up between the first and second teams, in which the feature was a successful drop-kick by Marshall from the 35-yard line. Meier played well yesterday in both tackle positions, followed the ball closely and was sure in his tackling. After only five minutes of signals, the University eleven lined up for a scrimmage against the second. The first eleven received the ball from the kick-off and rushed it down the field by short gains. Hurley scoring the first touchdown on an 8-yard plunge through the line. Fumbling and off-side play combined to give the second team its touchdown. The second got the ball on a fumble on the University's 25-yard line, and aided by two off-side plays which yielded 5 and 3 yards respectively in penalties, carried it over the University's line...
