...Kneisel Quartette will give three concerts in Brattle Hall, Cambridge, on Wednesday evening, March 21, and Tuesday evenings, April 3 and 24. The subscription list is now open at Sever's bookstore; the price of subscriptions will be three dollars each. ...library of the University of Chicago has recently received 4,200 volumes of the annals, debates and records of Congress, the most complete set of its kind, it is claimed, which is in existence. Dr. J. Lawrence Laughlin, Professor of Political Economy, purchased the collection in Washington, in the name of the University, for five thousand dollars. The nucleus of the collection was made by Senator Barnum of Connecticut, who succeeded in obtaining a complete set of the first fifteen Congresses.
