Only four of last year's team are out this spring: Wendell, Stillman, Clarkson, and Frantz. Devens has had an operation performed on his knee, but may possibly come out later. Coburn is sick, and Winsor and Coolidge are not out. Kernan is the only substitute who has returned this year, so that the infield positions will have to be filled by untried men. With such a lack of experienced material, baseball work will have to be of the hardest kind this year in order to turn out a winning team...
