...read, it seems to me that Protestants have some sort of vague notion that Catholics worship and revere and obey the Pope as peasants once did their lords. This notion is entirely false. The average Catholic has a healthy respect for the Pope, but little more. He would kneel in his presence but most certainly not at his voice. Is that not reasonable?
