...Illinois Candidate Borah forced Candidate Knox to fight, for the Chicago publisher could not stay out of the primary (April 14) of his home State. Senator Borah had two advantages in Illinois: 1) He was born on a farm near Fairfield 70 years ago; 2) He had indirect support from the Chicago Tribune which cannot see the publisher of the rival Daily News in the White House.
