Fokker tri-motors (35 in number) of the type in which Knute Kenneth Rockne and seven others crashed to death in Kansas six weeks ago (TIME, April 13) must be inspected by Department of Commerce agents before they can be restored to service. Because the crash that killed Knute Rockne and seven others in Kansas last month (TIME, April 13) has yet to be fully explained (beyond the simple fact that a wing of the Fokker plane pulled off) the Department of Commerce last week took drastic action.
