You seem to forget that General Clay was a partner in an American banking firm before World War II and that this company provided the Nazis with American patents necessary for war-making. Perhaps you have also forgotten that many other American firms helped out the Nazi government in its early, and sometimes in its later, stages. Henry Ford, the anti-semitic, was sympathetic to Adolf Hitler and his bully-boys, using his vast resources to aid the latter. A picture of Ford hung in Hitler's office...
