Excellently printed in rotogravure, Click is likely to give its more roughneck competitors a run for their dimes. An unrestrained display of carnage in the first issue shows a hypnotized man with his lips pierced with pins, kosher beef being slaughtered, a bloody nose-bobbing operation. Most of the rest of the magazine is chiefly suitable for decorating the walls of a college fraternity house-layouts "unmasking" the white slave trade, why Toms peep and at what, finally a section devoted to colored illustrations of off-color jokes and "French art studies...
...kosher meat products sold in New York City are union-made-except W. & I. Blumenthal's "Ukor" brand. Among methods used by the Butchers' Union to bring pressure on the company was picketing of retailers handling Ukor products. Picket lines of portly butchers were promptly swung around kosher shops which refused to close, bringing on as lusty a brawling as in any A. F. of L.C. I. O. fracas. A plea to reopen from their president and from now on the Commissioner of Markets was met in open mass meetings with a loud Yiddish NO! Ignoring the law of supply & demand, which was working with textbook simplicity as a result of Drought and Government curtailment, the butchers howled that they were the victims of a packers' monopoly...

Liebowitz jumped up, appealed to the Jews on the jury. Romano had been working in a kosher fish market. "Why they're trying to convict him on Christian fish!" he thundered. The jury acquitted...
