Scheduled for publication on Nov. 25, the book has already been reviewed by West Germany's Der Spiegel, which calls it "un-factual," full of "goofs," and a "gross oversimplification" of the history of the steel and coal concern that manufactured German arms in both World Wars. Manchester, says Der Spiegel, is guilty of factual errors about present-day-Germany, half-truths about the Krupp empire, and "anti-German resentment."
