Major Thomas Duncan of the Army Air Service and Irving H. Krupp, civilian clerk, were killed at Boiling Field, Washington, in a DH-4-B airplane which went into a spin at 200 feet in the air, crashed and burst into flames. The machine had taken off correctly into the teeth of the wind, the motor did not cut-out or choke, flying controls responded perfectly. The investigating board is baffled.
