The instrumentation is often too bare for the songs, barring them from getting anywhere. Roadie and Kyle??s vocals are often lacking as well, clearly straining on high and midrange notes alike. Their occasional feeble attempts at harmony only worsen the effect. Finally, the occasional extended jams (as in “T.V.”) sound frantic and gratuitous, like Phish at their worst...
