During the past week the battery candidates for the University baseball team have practiced daily in the Cage, under the direction of Coach A. L. Castle '06 and C. R. Leonard '08. The work has been in pitching straight balls, and no batting practice has been begun. The men are already improving, and the pitchers are showing good form for so early in the season. Candidates for the entire University squad will be called out on Monday and will be expected to report at the Cage at 3 o'clock, and the Freshman squad will report at 4 o'clock...
