Another Harvard freshman star, J. W. Fobes '32, was a victor in the trials. Running against J. O. Wildes '29 in a mile race, he won in 4 minutes 31 3-5 seconds. According to Coach E. L. Farrell, however, this does not mean that Wildes is excluded from a place on the team, since it is possible that he and Leslie Flaksman '29 will run a special two-mile race to determine the final place among the American distance runners...
